BOOK UPDATE (09/10/07) The bookstore called and they just got 50 copies of Cosmic Perspective 4th Edition STARS GALAXIES AND COSMOLOGY (with the media update...our course ID is RICEASTR201F07). This is the shorter (and $40 cheaper!) version which is entirely adequate for the course (as noted in the syllabus) so go ahead an purchase it. (09/23/07) TWO COPIES OF THE FULL COSMIC PERSPECTIVE 4E BOOKS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON RESERVE AT FONDREN FOR STUDENT USE IN ASTR 201.
Announcements:
1. The third (last) exam will be a take-home handed out in class on 12/06 and due the next day by 6pm. It will cover Chaps. 19-23 and S3 and be similar to exam2 in structure. The "Exam Study Guide" has been posted.
2. All paper reports(observing project) and exams must be turned in to Dr. Dufour by 6pm CST Friday 12/07.
3. Web project URLs are due to rjd@rice.edu and rjdrice@sbcglobal.net by midnight Friday (or soon thereafter; see the update in the instructions).
